Love letter #41

My heart broke when the doctors told us that you were suffering

from an illness that wasn’t hereditary or explained

I watched you through hospital visits and long treatments

to get you well before you could disappear upon this Earth

we both lost sight who was up above

thought everything was hopeless and nothing mattered anymore

but we both held onto each other through the struggle of the pain and suffering that you endured day after day

through the power of prayer and good faith

from many people who loved us

you pulled through

and you became better

now we are stronger

more powerful than ever

we have been through so much before others

I think we were destined to be together

and now we have each other

and a beautiful child too

who lights up our world

like a child would do

hope she never has to go through

what you and I went through

TOGETHER

The “Love Letters” Series will be a collection of poetry written for and about love. Please comment below if you’re enjoying my thoughts and words. Some of these poems can be read as “Spoken Word” or a “Rap Song” or with a “Taylor Swift” angst, lol. – Peace and Love
