Love Letters (Poetry), Poetry

Love Letter #28

Sitting on the runway on this dreaded hot tarmac

In first class needing a glass of wine

After I have dined

On caviar and lobster

waiting for the pilot to start the engine

but there is some issue

his heart is not into

drank a little bit too much scotch

I try to get the attention of the flight attendant

the pilot has shut me out

locked himself inside the cockpit

I’m ready to fuckin lose my shit

Being tricked into this high class love affair

How did I ever get here

With talks of your future plans

Making some love high demands

I need for him to set me free

but he won’t, he won’t release me

he’s got me trapped

how could I have been so blind

to be stuck in an airplane going no where?

The “Love Letters” Series will be a collection of poetry written for and about love. Please comment below if you’re enjoying my thoughts and words. Some of these poems can be read as “Spoken Word” or a “Rap Song” or with a “Taylor Swift” angst, lol. – Peace and Love
