Love Letter #23

Don’t you dare come knocking at my door

at 6 o’clock in the morning begging for more

I’m not Seamless, ready to take your order

deliver this meal to you at any corner

boy you must be insane

I’m like a prize, you know the Great Dane

great companion and lovable too

but I can’t mess with you no more, booboo

you had your chance and you didn’t choose me

my head and my heart finally agrees

I’m better off without you

even though I once loved you

but in the end, our love is taboo

Love Letter #22

If I had to choose

I would choose me every single damn time

your games were weak and your lines were not so sublime

nah they were a bit subpar

like if I had to walk into a dive bar

and order a Long Island iced tea

drunk in two seconds flat, that’ll be me

then puking my guts in the bathroom over you

like I drank a large glass of mildew

pretty rational person, who at times allow my emotions to get the best of me

but it took me quite some time to think clearly and see

that you were a destructive force that tried to bring me down

trust me, baby boy, I almost drowned

in your selfish pity party of a world

but I ain’t that kind of girl

finally got myself out

filled myself up with confidence and clout

because I decided to choose me

every. single. damn. time.

Your “Other” Mom Message

Note: Your “Other” Mom Series will be somewhat hilarious, somewhat serious or a bit of both. I always like to infuse humor and seriousness in my posts. However, try to not be offended by it. Life is too short to be “offended” by things. Enjoy the little moments to laugh and reflect. – Peace and Love!

Love letter #21

Mirror Mirror On The Wall

Who’s the most fuckin obsessed with themselves of them all?

nitpicking, eyebrows tweezing, mustache waxing, misbelieving

can’t even sit still

to be a bit relaxing and be chill

picking at the biggest pores

examining with a magnifying glass as hors d’oeuvres

poking prodding

can’t get enough of these products advertising

the next youth serum

getting old sinks in – fearsome

delaying the process of a once desired face and body

hoping to retain a certain anatomy

it just keeps getting worse and worse

old age is a fucking curse

what can I do to keep my face and figure

like a JLo in a Versace dress 20 years later?

wait hold up, is it that self esteem that I am lacking

I better stop slacking and get to acting

like I am the shit

jump on this bandwagon like I am still lit
